I’m excited to be offering a group supervision programme in collaboration with Hetty Einzig next year. If you are a coach, please join what promises to be an exciting and innovative approach to supervision, starting February 2020. The group will meet monthly for six months in central London. What we are calling Eco-Supervision is a values-based, collaborative and experimental model which explores coaching practice within the context of wider societal and environmental considerations. It is rooted in the models of Analytic-Network Coaching and Eco-Leadership created by Simon Western. We have his agreement to refer to his frameworks. We will draw also on our backgrounds in Transpersonal Coaching, bodywork, creative practices and mindfulness.
Aligning with Simon’s maxim, we work in ‘good faith’ towards the ‘good society’. Hetty brings experience from a career encompassing psychotherapy, writing and journalism. Her coaching and supervision is informed by ecological and systemic perspectives, art and literature. I draw on my career as a former journalist and strategist turned coach and supervisor – integrating critical perspectives of society and politics to inform the supervision. Eco-Leadership has four frames:
- Connectivity and interdependence: underpinned by natural systems and the network society.
- Systemic ethics: going beyond the personal to address environmental and social issues.
- Leadership spirit: including myth, language, imagination, the unconscious and the importance of the human spirit.
- Organisational belonging: rethinking organisational purpose and meaning to include space and place, community, society and kinship.
This group is for experienced coaches wishing to deepen their understanding and contribution through their work at this turbulent time when institutions, business, society and our environment are being severely challenged.
Logistics
We will meet 2.00 – 5.00 pm on the following dates:
- Tuesday 25th February 2020
- Tuesday 24th March 2020
- Monday 20th April 2020
- Tuesday 19th May 2020
- Tuesday 23rd June 2020
- Tuesday 21st July 2020
We will work in a pleasant room very close to Kings Cross and St Pancras station in central London. Some sessions may take place in the outdoors (e.g. park, canal walking) and others may take place in different public spaces (e.g. art galleries, museums). These diverse settings will allow us to explore our relationship with space and place and with each other in different ways. The size of the group will be no larger than six participants.
Participants must be able to commit to all six dates and, once committed, will hold responsibility for rescheduling any group meeting which they cannot attend.
Cost for the six-month programme: £925.00 + VAT.
